Denna flygplats var på 30-talet en hjälpflygplats på flygleden Stockholm – Malmö. Trots att fältet under lång tid varit nedlagt är det ett välbevarat flygfält med vaktstuga, vind-T, gränsmarkeringar m m. Vi i Jönköpings Flygklubb hälsar dig välkommen till denna historiska och idylliska plats. Vi hoppas att du ska trivas och ofta återkomma!
Jönköpings Flygklubb sköter sedan 1991 driften av fältet. Detta är förenat med vissa kostnader, t ex att hålla god standard på fältytorna med klippning m m. Flygfältsföreningen Visingsö tar tacksamt emot Ditt bidrag i form av en för Dig symbolisk landningsavgift av 100 SEK (10 €). Det är naturligtvis tillåtet att bidra med mer. Notera att landningsavgiften är obligatorisk. Övriga bidrag är välkomna.

Tips
Hyr en cykel vid klubbstugan. Ta er in mot centrala delarna av Visingsö där det finns både resturanger och aktiviteter. Stanna för att titta på en alpacka och ät en glass. Titta på borgen, ät en middag eller ta bara en dryck. I hamnen finns ex resturang Solbacken. Mer centralt i byn Tunnerstad finns både thairesturang och mer ”fine-dining” på Wisingsö Hotell & konferens.

Parkering / Gräsklippare
Nu har vi en robotgräsklipare som klipper runt stugorna som klipper alla nätter förutom helger. Det går bra att parkera flygplan inom området som sträcker sig ca 25 meter öster om stugorna men om era maskiner har känsliga hjyl/hjulkåpor parkera längre ut eller kontakta Mathias (070 – 666 77 11) så pausar vi klipparen denna natt.
Vi ber alla besökare om hjälp att ställa in cyklar noga på cykel parkering och hjälpa till att hålla området fritt från hinder så att klipparen inte kör fast. Sitter den fast får ni gärna ställa klipparen i laddstationen på baksidan.

Welcome to Visingsö ESSI.
This airport was in the 30s used as an emergency landing field for the postal flights between Stockholm and Malmö. Although the field has long been abandoned, it is a well-preserved airfield with a guard room, wind-T, boundary markers, etc. Jönköping Flying Club welcomes you to this historic and idyllic location. We hope you enjoy your stay and come back often!
Jönköping Flying Club has since 1991 managed the operation of the field. This is subject to certain costs, such as maintaining good standards of field surfaces with cutting, etc. Aerodrome Society Visingsö gratefully accepts your contributions in the form of a token for you landing fee of 100 SEK (10 €). Of course, it is allowed to contribute more.
Please use the payment form found in the mailbox at the clubhouse.
Tip
Take a bike at the clubhouse and make you way down to the harbor where you can take a walk. Look at the castle, eat dinner, or just take a drink. It includes the Talay Thai with Asian food and Restaurant Solbacken with good pizza. If you wish to stay for the night, it is possible to rent the clubhouse where there are four beds, kitchen, toilet and shower!

Parking / Lawnmower
We now have a robotic lawnmower that mows around the cabins every night except weekends. It is okay to park airplanes within the area extending about 25 meters east of the cabins, but if your machines have sensitive wheels/wheel covers, please park further out or contact Mathias (+46(0)70 – 666 77 11) so we can pause the mower for that night.
We kindly ask all visitors to help by placing bicycles carefully in the bike parking area and helping to keep the area free of obstacles so that the mower doesn’t get stuck. If it does get stuck, please place the mower in the charging station at the back.
